Universal Academy of Florida's Food Service Department  would like to extend a warm welcome to all our Parents and Guardians!

Children need healthy meals to learn!Universal Academy of Florida's Nutrition Services offers healthy meals every school day.

Your child may qualify for free or reduced price meals!

We are pleased to inform you that Universal Academy of Florida will be implementing an option available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs called The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for School Year 2022-2023.

An application is REQUIRED for all families, for the school year 2022-2023.

You must submit an application for your children, even if you think you won't qualify. Your information will be kept secure and confidential. Your information will be secure and confidential.

Note: All meats served in the Cafeteria are certified Halal meats.   

Students can purchase certain a la carte items such as Extra Food items, Water, 100% Juice, Drinks, and Healthy Snacks.  Menus are posted monthly on the our website.  If you have any suggestions, concerns or questions regarding the menus, please feel free to contact:

 Please note, at this time the cafeteria is not accepting any cash payments. Parents must create an account on PaySchools Central website to fund student lunch accounts. If you need assistance with making the account, please call the Main Office.

*Parents of students with allergies or special diets MUST provide the Foodservice supervisor a doctor’s note Parents of students with allergies or special diets MUST provide the Foodservice supervisor a doctor’s note stating allergens needing to be avoided or special diet needs. The parent will need to pack lunches for their child(ren) on days their child(ren) cannot eat the school lunch.  The school cannot provide a substitute meal for students with allergies or special diets.

 All of our cafeteria staff receives yearly training in HACCP principles, (Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points) a comprehensive federal and state food safety program designed to track food from delivery to service. The Food Service Manager is certified in ‘ServSafe’, a federal program administered by the National Restaurant Association and Food Allergy Awareness.

In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.

To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at: How to File a Complaint, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
