 ACADEMIC DEAN’S CORNER 

Sr. Hayat Ileiwat

As the Academic Dean, I will be responsible for the development, delivery, and continuous refinement of the Universal Academy of Florida’s educational program. This includes providing adopting new curricula and training teachers to use them. Al-Hamdullah, this year, we have adopted several new programs that we are very excited about. The programs we adopted are:

1.  Math Expressions for K-5th grade. For more info check out the following link:

3.  Responsive classroom for PK-12th grade. Responsive Classroom is a student-centered, social and emotional learning approach to teaching and discipline. It is comprised of a set of research, and evidence-based practices designed to create safe, joyful, and engaging classrooms and school communities for both students and teachers. 4.  ATLAS Curriculum Maps. ATLAS is used to create and store the curriculum maps that guide instruction in our school.  The curriculum guidelines were developed by teams of teachers from UAF using expectations from our state standards, state assessments, and the national standards.
