SUFS and AAA is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis for students in KG to 12th grade. The Scholarship Award Letter must be presented to UAF no later than June 1, 2021. Otherwise, parents must pay the full monthly tuition fee as scheduled until they receive the approval. You may qualify for a scholarship if your household income is at or below the amount designated on the income guidelines found on the organization’s website. Qualified families must fill out the application every year.
Scholarship Award Letter/VPK Certificate
If you are in possession of a scholarship and/or VPK Certificate, please hand deliver it to the Student Account Coordinator in the Business office. Due to the time sensitivity of the funding, this process will ensure your child receives the maximum amount of funds available. Do not email your award letter or VPK certificate to any school email address or hand it off to any other UAF employee. We cannot be responsible for obtaining these documents if they are not delivered to the responsible person.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Once children are approved and a deposit has been paid, families who face difficulties paying the full tuition fees may apply for the UAF Tuition Assistance Program through the Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST). The Financial Aid Committee is responsible for determining all Financial Aid Awards based on specific eligibility criteria to include:
Tuition Payment History
UAF requires families who apply for Financial Aid to complete the online Family Financial Aid application through the FAST website and upload all required documents there. Please note: As a family’s financial situation may change, it is necessary to apply for aid each year.
The Tuition Assistance application is due May 29, 2021. There is a $45 non-refundable processing fee required by FAST. Upon recommendation from FAST, the Financial Aid Committee decides on the eligibility of applicants and the amount they receive. Due to a limitation of funds available, tuition assistance and amount given will be based on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition, parents will be required to volunteer for at least 20 hours per year. Parents who received tuition assistance previously but did not fulfill their financial obligations to UAF will not be granted any tuition assistance. Finally, receipt of tuition assistance in previous years does not guarantee an award or an award with the same value for this year.
