General Reminders 

  • UAF's Annual Banquet: UAF's Annual Fundraiser this year will be held virtually on Saturday, December 11th , at 11:00am Insha'Allah.  Please click on the link: to register for the free virtual event, and make sure to join us for this beautiful event with our students, teachers, staff, parents and community members, Insha’Allah. Those who registered will be included in raffle drawings to win some awesome prizes! Your support for our school and our students by joining and promoting these events, is very much appreciated! 
  •  Free Vision Screenings on Tuesday, December 8th (Daycare-8th grade): Preserve Vision FL will be coming this week on Tuesday(12/8) and possibly Wednesday (12/9) to provide free vision screenings for our daycare-8th grade students. This is a free screening to help determine if your child has any vision issues that may impact their learning and development. Permission forms were sent home last week with your child(ren). If interested, please return your completed permission forms to your child's homeroom teacher by Monday (12/6). Please feel free to call the front office with any quuestions. 

  • Afterschool Clubs in December: Afterschool clubs in December will only take place until December 9th.

  • Please DO NOT send your sick child to school: By keeping your sick kids home, you are helping to control the spread of colds, flu, COVID-19 and other contagious illnessesPlease keep your child home until he/she has been symptom-free without medication for 24 hours.  Please keep your child at home when he/she has any of the following symptoms:
  •  Fever


     Vomiting or Diarrhea


     Sore throat or trouble swallowing

     Coughing, sneezing, and/or runny nose

     Rash or unusual sores or spots


     Generalized muscle aches and pains

     Wheezing or trouble breathing

     Unusually red, crusted or burning eyes

     Head Lice


  • Important Security Reminders:  In addition to the established security procedures on campus, we will also be taking additional steps to enhance our security as we work towards ensuring that our campus is as safe and secure as possible. Please make note of the following:
    • Car tags are required during arrival and dismissal. Please make sure to hang your car tag over your rear view mirror  in your vehicle, so that they are visible. CARS WITHOUT THE CAR TAGS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON CAMPUS during arrival and dismissal and will be asked to park across the street to pick up or drop off their children. 

    • Follow the instructions of our security guards and staff. If they do not see a car tag, they will stop and question the cars. Please remember that they must enforce the rules in order to keep everyone safe, therefore be sure to follow their instructions and comply with their requests.

  • Parking Lot Safety: In an effort to keep our parking lot safe and efficient we would like to encourage all our families to please be extra cautious and courteous to other drivers when parking, backing up in the parking lots (on campus and across the street). Also, please be aware that we have children and pedestrians passing through so please try to maintain a slow speed when driving through the dismissal lanes and the parking lots.
  • Aftercare Program: The philosophy of the Aftercare Program is to provide a safe and positive on-site care for students who need to stay after school hours.  All late student will also be sent to Aftercare and will be charged the aftercare fee accordingly. Aftercare will take place daily in the Computer Lab in Building B.  Parents or authorized pick-ups must walk into the school building and sign the child out.   • Mask Policy: Masks are required for all students, staff and parents/visitors throughout the day while on school campus. Parents walking to the  Students will be asked to fix their masks when they are out of compliance. Disciplinary action will occur when students reach a certain amount of infractions and consequences will increase in severity. Please ensure your child(ren) comes to school daily with a mask on and backup masks in their backpack in case their mask breaks.  If your child(ren) forgets his/her mask, they would need to purchase a mask from the main office for $1.
