I hope that each of you has taken time with friends and family to fully recharge for the upcoming year.

The mission of the Universal Academy of Florida is to teach our students the principles and practices of Islam and prepare them for academic success and good citizenship.

  General Reminders 

  • Weekly Reminders: Parents should expect a weekly email with a link to the Falcon Weekly Reminders. It will contain information regarding upcoming school activities.
  • PlusPortals: PlusPortals allow parents and students to engage with teachers and administrators in a secure environment. You will receive an email with instructions on logging in. If you have not done so already. Please access your account as soon as possible to start interacting with UAF!
  • Cafeteria PayForIt Program: This program is used by our parents to easily access lunch accounts, check balances, review purchases, and set up automatic email reminders. You will receive an email this week with instructions on setting up your account.
  • UAF Facebook: Visit our UAF Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/universalacademyofflorida) page and stay updated about fun information and pictures of our events!
  • Uniform: All students are expected to be in uniform every day of the week. Mayssan Modern Modesty now sells pants for heights 5’7 and up. They are also offering 25% off any order until the end of August. https://www.etsy.com/shop/MayssanModernModesty

  • Hajj Simulation: Our annual Hajj Simulation for elementary (PK - 5th grade) will be taking place on Tuesday, August 29th, Insha'Allah! Parent volunteers are wanted. If you are interested in being a volunteer, please sign up by clicking on the link below:

Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

 Please adhere to the following rules when dropping or picking up your children. These rules are in place for the safety of the children, our #1 priority.

  • Arrival/Dismissal Times: Morning arrival is from 8:00- 8:20 am. If you arrive after 8:20 am your children must come to the Main Office for a tardy pass. Dismissal is at 3:05 pm on Monday - Thursday and 1:05 pm on Fridays.
  • Speed Limit : The speed limit on campus is 5 MPH.


  • Do not engage in conversations with the staff, their focus is your children. Respect the staff and follow their directions.

  • Do not get out of your car while in the pick up line.

  • Make sure your car tag is displayed when entering campus.

  • If you are late picking up your children: Students still on campus after dismissal has ended will be sent to the afterschool program. You will be charged a fee of $5 per child/half hour.

  • Thursday, August 24: Welcome to Senior Year; Senior meeting for students and parents. 2:25 pm in the Assembly Room

Community Events:


As you know, there will be a solar eclipse in the Tampa Bay area this coming Monday, August 21. In reviving the Sunnah of our beloved prophet PBUH, Khusuf (eclipse) prayer will be lead at Daarus Salaam and ISTABA masjid.


Hajj Lessons:
